Meet the Maughans {Kyneton Photographer}

Generally when and if I ask people to sing a song during our session, we usually get the good old favourites Twinkle, Twinkle or a Wiggles number. Not the Maughans! I was given a full rendition of “Moves like Jagger” complete with Christina Aguilera high notes. It was truly impressive stuff.

I had such a fun afternoon amongst the spectaular autumn colour that we are blessed with in our little corner of the world.

So without further ado – meet the Maughans.

I so enjoyed my little recent foray out of the Macedon Ranges and into the funky laneways and cafes of North Melbourne. I got to spend time with a truly special and inspirational family whom I hold very dear to my heart.

Last days of Summer {Macedon Ranges Family Photographer}

It’s hard to believe then that this session was only taken just over a week ago when we braved a 40 degree scorcher to capture these photos. It seemed like a last hurrah to summer (autumn has arrived with quite a bang here!), a celebration of love, and life before 4 becomes 5.

Happy 2012!!
What a wonderful year it is going to be both personally and with Kim Selby Photography so many wonderful things planned. I am so excited to think of all the lovely, inspiring people I will get to meet and am looking forward to help capture and share in their beautiful stories.

I couldnt think of a better way to kick off the new year than with one cute couple!! A gorgeous celebration of their love, friendship and golden summer evenings in the beautiful Macedon Ranges.

This is DEFINITELY the case for Peonies. In my humble opinion, one of the most beautiful flowers in existence with their beautiful sweet perfume and huge blossoming flowers.

So when Nicky contacted me about a session capturing what life is like for her and her gorgeous family I was SO excited. The Spring Hill Peony Farm – what a back drop for photos!

I soon discovered that what made it really magical was not just the obviously beautiful flowers but all the other special elements like the magic faraway tree, the horses, the chickens, China the dog, the winding dirt tracks, rusty tin sheds. Most importantly a loving family who are crazy about each other and their little piece of the Macedon Ranges.
